JAMA raises AEC concerns

In a new publication entitled ‘Driving Growth Towards the Future 2013,’ the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA) has expressed concerns about the upcoming ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) Economic Community (AEC), specifically noting the importance of whole vehicle type approvals. New analysis from Frost & Sullivan, ‘Strategic Analysis of ASEAN Automotive Outlook’ found that the ASEAN market is likely to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 5.8% (2012-2019) to reach 4.71 million vehicles in 2019, mainly driven by rapid market expansions in Indonesia and Thailand….
